Cat test video

"Hi my name is Tyson and my photos don’t do me justice – I’m very handsome (and humble!) and extremely energetic. If you throw a ball for me, I will chase it and then get the zoomies out of sheer joy. I also am very affectionate and like hugs and scratches, during which I will probably lean on you. I know some basic commands and am housebroken. I am good on a leash and am learning to not jump up on people but sometimes life gets so exciting that I forget. Plus, I’ve got so much energy that if I get too cooped up for too long I like to bark. So, the key to my heart is activity, and then more activity! My ideal home is a very active household – a few leash walks a day won’t cut it with me. I would thrive in a home with people that want to hike with me off leash (where allowed), run with me, take me to the dog park, or maybe even do agility training. I’m good with other big dogs and haven’t met a cat yet. If you’re looking for a quintessential German Shepherd, I’m your guy. I’d love to meet you. I’m eager to learn and experience the world with an experienced owner."

A prospective owner should understand that high levels of mental and physical activity are necessary for Tyson to thrive. This would involve more than just leash walks. Off leash endeavors such as dog parks or hiking (once he is trained to come when called) will be great ways to tire him out and keep him happy. He also loves fetch and tug, which are great ways to tire him out mentally and physically inside or in a fenced in yard. He likely would also enjoy dog puzzles.

If you are interested in meeting this dog, please fill out our online application first. Contact us via email at info@coastalK9gsr.org. The minimum adoption donation ranges from $300 to $400. This amount only partially covers the cost of veterinary care, boarding fees, and other miscellaneous expenses involved in the temporary care and adoption of our dogs and is tax deductible. Prior to placement, all dogs will be spayed or neutered, receive current vaccinations, and are usually microchipped. If not, arrangements will be made on an individual basis. Special consideration may be given to those willing to adopt older dogs or dogs with physical problems.
