Hi! My name is name is Misty, also known as wiggle butt or Ms. Wiggles amongst a few other nick names.

I’ve been living in a foster home since I was little. I have my foster big brother, his name is Delos, and we romp around and wrestle in the Living Room, but not for too long, Delos is a little older and gets tired quicker than I do.

I was brought up by many German Shepherds since I was a pup and I was an excellent student. I thought I was one until I saw myself in the mirror for the first time, and I didn’t even look anything like them!

My foster mom wanted me to tell you that the best home for me would be one that has large yard and doggie playmates that I can run around and wrestle with. I love sunbathing and chasing lizards although I haven’t caught any yet.  And that I am really good in the house.

I get super excited when I see my favorite people and dog friends.  Sometimes I can hardly stop wiggling when I see them, I don’t know why I can’t stop!

When I was little, I went to obedience classes where I learned “sit”, “stay” and “down”. I also learned to “heel” but have had some trouble keeping my composure when I see other dogs on walks. Sometimes we go walk at the park instead which has lots of things to see and smell, I have more fun doing this than obedience classes.

This year I started going to doggie day care where there are A LOT of dogs running around. At first, I was shy. It was kind of overwhelming, that didn’t last too long . . .  I’ve been making some new friends lately, and it gets more fun each time.

My (previous) German Shepherd upbringing taught me that I need to let my family know if there are people or other dogs we do not know outside of our house by barking, my German Shepherd upbringing also made sure that I understood that was the #1 rule I should never forget.

The #2 rule from my German Shepherd upbringing is to be reserved with humans. Meeting new people makes me a little nervous, and I need some time and space to figure out if they are ok before the new humans give me affection.  .  .  They did say that I am super cute with a wiggle butt and this is why humans will want to hug me right away.

We’d love to introduce you to Misty, make an appointment today, you’ll be glad you did!

If you are interested in meeting this dog, please fill out our online application first. Contact us via email at info@coastalK9gsr.org. The minimum adoption donation ranges from $300 to $400. This amount only partially covers the cost of veterinary care, boarding fees, and other miscellaneous expenses involved in the temporary care and adoption of our dogs and is tax deductible. Prior to placement, all dogs will be spayed or neutered, receive current vaccinations, and are usually microchipped. If not, arrangements will be made on an individual basis. Special consideration may be given to those willing to adopt older dogs or dogs with physical problems.
